My goodness, this blog hasn’t had any love for a long time! I’ve barely even posted on instagram, but despite this, I’m still a family photographer in Orlando! The last few years have been quite busy with Brett starting a new job, building a new home, and having a baby!

Pregnancy was very humbling for me. I was extremely sick until week 19, the I got sick during week 20. Finally, third trimester hit and I was doing much better. We still had a few more surprises along the way, including having our little boy show up at 37 weeks! Thankfully, he was already a huge baby, so his early arrival was actually very welcome!

With baby Joel’s arrival, my heart grew a million sizes. My focus on my business also changed dramatically. I had barely been able to work before with being so sick, but now that I’m feeling so much better and out of that early postpartum fog (I still have plenty of moments where I almost put the milk in the pantry though) I am eager to share more on this blog!

I especially am eager to share that I am going to start offering lifestyle newborn sessions! There truly isn’t anything that can prepare you for how quickly that newborn phase goes by! So I’m very excited to capture it for others! We were so grateful that my friend Amanda of Amanda Cromer Photography, could come out and capture that sweet time for us, and it made me realize just how much I want to help other moms and dads capture that special time in life!

I also have found that I am forever wanting to update our photos now that we have so many new milestones to celebrate! While I always offered family sessions in the past, I have now upgraded the experience. I am very guilty of getting pictures taken and then not taking the time to get them printed to put on the walls or in a book, which is terrible given that I am a family photographer, so that is why I am now going to offer a new approach that encourages families to print those memories!
