This is such a special wedding to us that it is hard to even begin to know how to express it in words! This couple has such a beautiful story, one that left us smiling on the inside and out for days! For all of you who understand how a photographer feels the day after a wedding and for those who don’t, it is like a combination of no sleep and a marathon run and extreme hunger; however, we didn’t experience that feeling until Monday because we still had so much adrenaline and excitement from this wedding!

First of all, Ilove’s story is so incredible. She was adopted by an amazing family in our hometown and she was in my brother’s grade so I got to know her as we grew up. Her amazing family visited Haiti several times and was asked to take her so she could have better opportunities. This was the first amazing step in God’s great plan with these two.

Fast forward to a few  years ago and George comes into the picture, also from Haiti. This is where it is beyond apparent that God was behind this plan the whole time. Ilove and George met in Saginaw, MI and while Ilove’s mom was sharing some of the details at the reception, it was just such a beautiful testimony to trusting that God does have a plan for all of us.

What is so incredible about this wedding is that it was all about the marriage. This was a wedding that was all about their love and excitement to start their life together. In fact, Ilove told me multiple times, leading up to the wedding, that she was just so ready for the day to be here already! The day came and it was just gorgeous! It was unseasonably warm, the sun kept twinkling at the perfect times, and the details were amazing! They had an absolutely stunning day and had a really unique sunset wedding! It was so fun to spend the afternoon with the bridal party and family and have time for them to enjoy each other before the actual ceremony. We even were able to avoid the good luck rain that started falling about ten minutes before the ceremony!

Ilove and George, we are so happy for you two! We are so in awe of your beauty as we go through these photos, but we are more inspired by how beautiful your relationship is! God brought you two together and we are so happy we got to witness your first steps as husband and wife!
