Katie contacted me shortly after we moved to Florida and I remember being so excited to introduce myself as a Florida based photographer for the first time! I remember her saying her family was so confused why she was talking to a Florida photographer for their Wisconsin wedding, but I am so thankful she reached out! I knew right away she was going to be the most fun bride and she sure was! I absolutely loved how excited she was at every moment of the day!

Katie and Kyle were surrounded by family and friends and they picked a gorgeous location for their fall destination wedding! We were right outside of the Lake Geneva area and it was just beginning to look like fall! We were blessed with the most gorgeous day! I was expecting to absolutely freeze, but thankfully, the weather warmed up a touch, so I didn’t have to wear a winter coat and embarrass myself in front of all the Midwest folks who were way tougher than I was!

After living in Michigan for 25 years, I can now say I’ve traveled to Wisconsin! I can see why Katie and Kyle chose this beautiful venue for their fall destination wedding! It was stunning and had so many options! My photographer heart was so happy when I saw the sun was going to set right behind beautiful fall trees!

I was so impressed with how Katie never got cold, but it was probably because she was so happy the whole day! She just couldn’t stop smiling! She had so many things to smile about! From the beautiful weather, to her gorgeous flowers, to her perfect dress, and her incredible friends surrounding her! I have seriously never been around a group of girls who were so organized! They were all over it and anything she needed, they anticipated and went for it! Seriously, these girls were the MVP’s of the day!

Also, I just have to take a moment to celebrate that both Katie and Kyle were my height! I can’t tell you how many times I feel like the giant around my clients, and it was so nice to not have to spend the entire day squatting! Just a small and rare victory for those of us who are tall!

Katie, I still just can’t get over how perfect your dress was! You were a Disney princess in real life! Thank you both for your kindness and for such an amazing day!
